Twain Interface

Twain software is specific to the scanner being used

Less expensive scanner has less functionality in the scanner software

Generally have both "beginner" and "advanced" settings. Advanced settings allow you to adjust

contrast, brightness, color
"curves"
histogram
preview scan & zoom
